Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language summary of what we collect and why. We try to collect as little as possible, and we don’t sell your data to anyone.
What we collect
- Your email address, so you can sign in (we use passwordless email codes) and so we can send the newsletter if you opt in.
- Your practice data — which sessions you did, when, for how long, and any breath-hold or resonance figures. This is what powers your progress page.
- Anything you choose to enter — mood check-ins, journal entries, and any HRV readings you log or measure. You never have to fill these in.
- Audio you generate — the personalized sessions you create are stored so you can play them again.
- Basic technical logs that any website receives, used to keep the service running and secure.
The camera and HRV
If you use the camera pulse reader, the video never leaves your device — the measurement happens in your browser, and only the resulting number (a heart rate and a rough variability estimate) is saved, and only if you choose to keep it. We don’t record, store, or transmit any video or images from your camera.
A note on health information
Mood, journal entries, and HRV estimates can feel personal. We treat them as private to your account. They are not medical records, and The Meditative Minds is not a medical service — the tools are for relaxation and mental rehearsal, not diagnosis or treatment. The camera HRV figure in particular is a rough estimate, not a clinical measurement.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t show ads. We use a small number of service providers to run the app — hosting, our database, payment processing (Stripe), and the AI/voice services that generate your sessions. They process data only to provide those functions. We share information if the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can leave mood, journal, and HRV fields blank — they’re always optional.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us (see below).
