Safety
Stopping is always a valid response.
No streak, score, or exercise is more important than how your body is responding.
During an exercise
Use Stop, return to natural breathing, and sit or lie somewhere safe when appropriate. Do not push through dizziness, near-fainting, chest discomfort, unusual shortness of breath, panic, dissociation, severe pain, or another concerning symptom.
Higher-intensity breathing
Never practice while driving, in or near water, at height, or anywhere fainting could cause harm. Follow the specific contraindications shown before a practice and choose a gentler exercise when unsure.
Urgent concerns
For a medical emergency, contact local emergency services. For an immediate mental-health or safety crisis, use the appropriate crisis service where you are. Do not wait for an app response.
What StateKind is not
StateKind is a wellness and self-regulation tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a medical or mental-health condition, and it is not a substitute for a qualified clinician or emergency care.
Negative responses matter
“That made me feel worse” is useful information.
Reporting a negative response helps StateKind avoid repeating an exercise for you and supports safety review. It never counts against a streak or score—because there are no streaks or scores to protect.
